Tony Martin...

I learned that Mont-Saint-Michel, the gothic style Benedictine abbey dedicated to the archangel St Michael, is the second most famous tourist spot in France. Paris occupies the top tourist spot. It was the perfect setting for today's TT.

“The goal today was top five,” said Sport Director Matt White. “Svein was right there in the mix. Obviously Chris Froome and Tony Martin were in another league. Everyone else in the top ten posted similar times.”
“These are the best guys in the world,” White added. “Svein had a solid ride compared to them. He’s very happy with the way he rode today.”
