I hear the Garmin train a comin'

Ale-jet first,  Julian Dean second!

Stage 4 Cambrai-Reims.

This years pursuit of the green jersey is changing hands from the young guard (Cavendish appearing to flounder) to the old guard (Petacchi). Cavendish seem to stop sprinting when he knew he was out of it by sitting up. A shame to see.

In this unpredictable Tour, Petacchi won into Champagne producing Reims. Number two. And he looks a chief rival to Hushovd for the Maillot Vert. Petacchi is the renaissance man finding his old form once again in his 36 year old legs. And he doesn't look like stopping soon. There's just only 10 points separating Ale-jet & the God of Thunder. A green battle has begun.

A little renaissance is beginning for Garmin, too. Yesterday Ryder Hesjedal almost killed it by attacking 11km from the start and staying away until 6.5km from the end. Hesjedal finished in a select group, with Cancellara, for fourth spot. The Garmin's had to retool after leader Christian Vande Velde's early exit. I like how they answered with aggressive Rydering and today's near win by Julian Dean (second) & Robbie Hunter (fifth). The Garmin train is rolling and a stage win is just around the bend!

A good mix...
Didi, Le Tour & World Cup!
