Dauphine: Stage 3 & TT Awaits!

Veilleux keeps it simple staying in the pack
via Graham Watson

Today's stage 3 was an incredible rush to the line won by Norwegian champion, Edvald 'Eddy Boss' Boasson Hagen. I'm waking up around 5:30 AM PDT and managing to watch the last few kms of the early broadcast of Criterium du Dauphine. Not a problem as I usually wake at 6 AM but the last few km's is hard to view especially missing most of the race. So, new tactics for tomorrow's TT (Villars-les-Dombes to Parc des Oiseaux, 32.5 km) - I'll just have to wake earlier.

Eddy is the Boss!

It will be date with destiny for favorite's, Foome and Contador - 1.57 behind David Veilleux. Plenty of challengers await for the pancake flat 32.5km course. Look out for TT demon's Sylvain Chavanel, Rohan Dennis & Richie Porte. Canadien, Veilleux has already been picked to ride this upcoming Tour and with 3 days in yellow, and incentive to pull something huge (again) out of the fire.

If he does lose the leader's jersey, we cannot be disappointed. Instead, only to encourage his champion form for the rest of the Dauphine right through into the Tour!

Tony Gallopin...
in 3rd overall & Young Riders
Classification leader.
