Tour Down Under Stage 6

"It means a lot to me, for my team. And to be the first South American to win the Ochre Jersey is even better. Three crashes in the 3Ks. It's not easy when 150 guys are trying to go into one corner at 70mph, it's dangerous but it's cycling and we saved the day."
-Jhonatan Narvaez. His first-ever WorldTour overall stage victory for the 27-year-old Ecuadorian, competing with his new team for the first time this season.

Phil Bauhaus (far left) makes a play to the line behind Welsford and Coquard

"It went faster and faster, and also in the last laps there were a few crashes. Luckily, we could avoid them. In the last kilometer, I was on my own. Everything was about trying to get on the wheels. I was in the 5th position around the last 2 corners with 300m to go, and then I could still gain 2 places to finish third. I think this was also the maximum possible today, so I am quite happy with 3rd place."
-Phil Bauhaus. Third overall.
