Le Dauphiné: going high

Tomorrow starts the Critérium du Dauphiné and is the big race before the Tour. A favorite race for the climbers with an added challenge, stage 6 to the finish on the Alpe d'Huez. This stage will be a fan's favourite and most likely be a thorn in the riders' side. Looking like a row of shark's teeth, the profile is daunting. After climbing three mountains, the 21 dizzying hairpins await the riders. I can't wait!

speaking of the badger, that sallanches stage looks cool too.

Agreed. Hope a Frenchman wins it!

A daunting course profile! I have a couple of mountain top finishes coming up this weekend in the Death Valley Road Stage Race with over 13,400' of climbing over two stages. When I see things like *this* profile, it makes my pulse run! The Alpe d'Huez, a climb of mythic proportions.
