Garmin Cervelo.... Passionate Victory!

Commanding performance.

Quote of the day?
Q: "Champagne ....tonight?"
JV: "A little for them, I'm probably going to have a bottle and a half!"

Jonathan Vaughters ran off the team bus into the hands of his staff screaming with delight....

His Garmin-Cervelo super squad finally nailed it and won stage 2, TTT making this their first Tour stage victory. I'm sure it won't be the last one as they all rode incredibly well surpassing BMC (second), Sky (third), Leopard Trek (fourth) & HTC (fifth). These four teams also rode very well staying within 5 seconds and less from the faster Garmins.

Thor Hushovd looked unusual wearing the polka dot jersey, more like a hefty grimpeur. But he was flying along with his teammates over the short 23km course. The God of Thunder rode like thunder and is now in yellow and it looks good on him!

BMC had a great ride, too. Cadel Evans is third overall, 1 second behind Thor Hushovd & David Millar. Evans is now 1:41 in front of Contador giving himself more breathing room.

For now a much deserved celebration time for Garmin-Cervelo... bring on the Champagne!

Bravo!
