Giro TTT: Viva Garmin-Barracuda!

Twenty-four year old, Ramunas Navardauskas wears the coveted pink jersey.

Tuning into stage 4, the Verona TTT was drama galore. The day off was for the transfer to Verona from Denmark for all concern and whether how healthy was Taylor Phinney to hold on to the pink jersey.

Having the misfortune of an injured right ankle, Phinney thwarted danger at one point riding off the road and losing valuable time. He lost the maglia rosa to Ramunas Navardauskas of Garmin-Barracuda.

The Argyle Armada looked solid and never really faltered pulling off a convincing TTT ride. Best placed rider, Alex Rasmussen lost contact from his fast charging Garmin bus giving his Lithuanian teammate the chance for pink.

Pre-race favorite, Garmin-Barracuda has won the TTT, has four riders in the top 5 and has contender Ryder Hesjedal in 4th 11 seconds back. Perfect place for him to possibly wear the pink. Even Tyler Farrar, in second overall, also has the potential to wear the pink jersey in tomorrow's sprint stage.

Could the race be playing nicely into Garmin-Barracuda's hands?

So far ... so good!
