Thoughts from stage 3

The Harley is back!

Today's rest day at the Giro comes at a good time for the injured Taylor Phinney and Mark
Cavendish. They appear to be the two most injured by stage 3's crash.

Androni-Venezuela manager Gianni Savio was quick to apologize for an unrepented Roberto Ferrari stating, "incorrect behaviour that was not intentional." One sure thing, he'll get the evil eye from some riders when the race resumes tomorrow.

I admire maglia rosa Taylor Phinney insisting to go to the jersey ceremony limping with an ice pack wrapped around his injured ankle. I admire Elia Favilli for bunny hopping over a sprawled out Cavendish missing his head on the final sprint. Seems both riders will start tomorrow's Verona TTT.

It was a full blown chaotic sprint won by a very happy Matt Goss who got the EDGE for GreenEDGE!

Stage 3 results.
