A Gutsy Rainy Domestique Win for Hansen!
via Giro I'talia
Friday File...
The rains and slick dangerous wet roads continued on stage 7.
Victims numbered quite a few. Even Wiggo crashed losing control on a descent. He lost 1:15 and out of the top 20. The Shark Nibali also crashed but was able to rejoin the group of favorites containing Evans and Hesjedal.
The constant rain made hell for Emanuele Sella who was going at all odds chasing stage winner, Adam Hansen. He crashed many times, careening off the curb falling onto the slick road-even the Carabinieri had to dive to get out of harms way.
Tomorrow's the TT and last I heard rain is in the forecast - could that put another damper to Wiggo's plan to gain back lost time?
Hero award goes to Laurent Pichon (FDJ) as he hangs in despite riding in pain from his stage 1 crash...

Spring means a new look - bar tape...
... and DNA Italico bib shorts I purchased from a liquidation sale.
I'm unable to find their website but I discover they are made in Veneto, Italy. I've already rode with these comfortable shorts and I love them. The foam seat pad is amazingly thick and I must say it's the first pair of 'pro' bib shorts I own. A longer ride is on the agenda - that will be the true test.
Starts Sunday, get ready for a 'Bear' of a time...
