Stelvio...
devilishly beautiful.
The 2014 Giro was presented by Andrea Monti of La Gazzetta dello Sport as, "more humane." 3,449 kilometres, climb 5,000 metres less than this year's edition, spend fewer hours transferring between stages and include an extra rest day. The gruelling Stelvio climb is back after it couldn't be used this year due to bad weather. It will come in the 16th leg from Ponte di Legno to Val Martello.
"On paper, it seems a little more humane but we all know it's not that way. Maybe it'll be cold like this year and that'll make everything harder, and not so humane, and it'll take us all to our limit."
- Vincenzo Nibali
