The Tour of Flanders is a Monument that Eddy The Cannibal Merckx has won twice. In 1969, Merckx won an incredible 43 victories. His classic wins: Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix, Milan-San Remo, Gent Welvegem and Liege Bastogne Liege. In 1975, as the world champion, he duly won: Tour of Flanders, Milan-San Remo, LBL and Amstel Gold Race. Oh, including 38 victories. Call him a superhero of the classics and here's a video, with excellent footage, with his insight of Flanders in '69 and '75.
