The German rocket blasted to win a soggy stage 2 in Belfast. With his win he has recorded stage wins in each of the Grand Tours. Many of the heroes were not riders but the loyal and huge amount of pink clad fans along the scenic route...

I'm watching the Eurosport feed especially enjoying the commentary by Sean Kelly. He's the man that has the insider's scoop. Besides - 'making the calculation', he mentioned Dan Martin was to go under the knife for his fracture collarbone in Dublin. Also, word has it he would take about 2 ½ weeks to heal and get back on his bike to be ready for his new goal... the Tour de France!
