Kings For The Day

King Tony on the throne.

One of the finest time trialists on planet pro cycling is Tony Martin. He showed his class winning the opening ITT of the Tour du Suisse. To add more class is the nondescript but comfy looking leather chair (above) as the hot seat and makes for a casual and classy looking 'panzerwagen'. Love the glasses, the dapper cycling cap and hi top Chuck Taylors!

King Lieuwe on the picturesque podium in Finaut-Emosson.

Lieuwe Westra, after his heart breaking near miss on stage 6, returned to get his revenge and win the queen stage 7. Alberto Contador takes on Chris Froome distancing himself to take the overall lead by eight seconds. Other kings of the day are the Garmin Sharp duo of Andrew Talansky (now third overall) urged on by uber domestique Ryder Hesjedal.

As the final very mountainous stage beckons, it's not over yet...
