Friday File: Puncheur Sunday; Have a Amstel Gold, Hard Worker(s) & Legend, Paris-Roubaix: Just a few more

The Cannibal won twice - 1973 & 1975.

The Ardennes Classics start Sunday with the 50th Amstel Gold Race (think beer) the biggest race in the Netherlands. The Dutch want a home win (and need one), and haven't had a win since Erik Dekker in way back in 2001. So, I'm going for two Dutchmen: in form TT winner in Pais Vasco, Tom Dumoulin and second overall in Tirreno, Bauke Mollema. Dark horse is puncheur, Tony Gallopin. And, the man to beat is King Cauberg, who can make it number four...

Habit forming...
Phil Gil enjoys his third Amstel in 2014.

Hell of the North: just a few more...

“I have to search now for a place to put the cobblestone in my apartment, and this is not going to be easy! “It’s big and heavy, I need to find a stable bench for it.”
- John Degenkolb

I always liken a good day when a hard worker wins...

Chapeau to Ben Hermans.
De Brabantse Pijl...

Last year's winner, Philippe Gilbert (3rd) makes it known who number 1 is...

"He is always working for the team. When you have someone like this and they win, it is always nice."

Another team advantage...
