In the heat of the race it's like that...

Super drama, once again, this time on stage 6 into Le Havre.

'Having Daniel take the jersey is a big deal for us.'

- Tyler Farrar

'That was my childhood dream to get the polka dot jersey at the Tour de France. Happy moment for me on the podium.'

- Daniel Teklehaimanot

Congrats to Daniel Teklehaimanot (MTN Qhubeka -first African registered team) becoming the first Eritrean African to wear the Tour de France KoMs jersey. Wonderful historic moment in this Tour. I'm very happy for him and adds to the high drama (in a good way) to this crazy stage. The stage finish was higher drama as a crash took out popular yellow jersey holder Tony Martin (lateral fracture of collarbone). A superb Zdenek Stybar timed his attack past Sagan and Kristoff and avoided a possible sprint to win. Bittersweet for the Etixx team. Looking at the video Tony Martin overlapped Barguil than into Nibali, Farrar, Froome and Quintana. Holding his shoulder afterwards and learning that he will not return, it was a sad way to go. After the stage, Froome climbed into the Astana bus and extracts an apology from Nibali who believed Froome had caused the crash.

'He didn't want to fall down. Clearly, when you fall, you always suffer damage. I was very upset, but we clarified it. Better that way. You know, in the heat of the race it's like that, but when you clarify it, it's better.'

- Vincenzo Nibali

The curse of this Tour's yellow jersey continues...
