Last January I received a very special email by Orica GreenEDGE rider, Christian Meier!
I couldn't believe it when I opened my morning email, that's when my mouth opened too, that Christian is very interested to sell our Red Dots cycling caps in his about to open Girona coffee/cycling cafe. To say that I'm a huge pro cycling fan is an understatement. Christian is Canadian. One time lived here in Vancouver and now rides for powerhouse Orica GreenEDGE as a specialist climber. Christian and Amber first met in a coffee shop in Vancouver and they are the authors of a new coffee/cycling nirvana in Girona. Girona is a pro cycling paradise where many english speaking pro's have their European base. I have been corresponding with both of them on email and twitter and have found them to be so friendly and extremely passionate of their new enterprise. Carolle and I are proud to have some of our caps available at La Fabrica Cafe. It may be a plane or two ride away, but La Fabrica Cafe is on our must do list, plus we're anxious to meet the fun coffee couple, Christian and Amber!
Good news: Christian is slated to be riding the upcoming Vuelta a Espana starting August 22!
Revised news: Christian is not going to La Vuelta, instead will ride in the Tour of Alberta (Sept. 2-7).
