Leaning into the wind, I cannot be unhappy right now & hardest bike race ever

Yesterday's Frfuggitivi ride was enjoyed in splendid sunshine as Phil, James, Andreas, Guy and yours truly took to the gentle and no so gentle hills of scenic Horseshoe Bay. Our turnaround point and rest stop was Whytecliff Park (above image). At this point we were thinking about food and beside folks barbecuing. We thought if we waited long enough they would invite us over. That never happened, off we left for our cafe stop.

As Fall rain and cooler temps makes it's way, our weekly rides are typically reduced in group size and length. If the weather can behave itself, we'll try to be out riding Sundays. Meanwhile, my wish is to try to have more shorter rides, during my busy week, better to have some fitness than no fitness. Most notably was how harsh the wind was Sunday, on the crowded Lions Gate Bridge. I don't have any images as I was too busy holding dearly to my handlebar and leaning into the wind trying not to fall. I'm happy to report no mishaps but I was rather humbled by Mother Nature!

La Vuelta a Espana.

La Vuelta ends abruptly for Tom Dumoulin but his Giant-Alpecin team comes up a winner with the final stage victory to sprinter John Degenkolb...

A fantastic win, and no heartbreak today.
Now, can Degenkolb win in Richmond?
