Friday File opens with the review from washingmachinepost...

I have been reading Brian's earnest blog on all things cycling for many years. I have also come to admire his thoughts on the interestingly vast products that he reviews. If you haven't read it, do so you won't be disappointed. You will be fully informed and entertained by Brian's unique prose. Upon introducing our new Red Dots Cycling Scottish Winter Cap, Brian tweeted me his 'concern' on the weatherproofness of the Tartan cap. By the way, Brian lives on the Isle of Islay in Scotland and what better way to have our Canadian tartan reviewed in the tartan homeland.

Frank Hoste vs Sean Kelly,
Stage 6, 1984 TdF

Remember Frank Hoste?

He was one of the tenacious sprinters from the eighties that often tangled with Sean Kelly. He outmuscled Kelly to win the green jersey in the 1984 Tour de France. I often wondered what he was currently up to so as I was researching his palmares I discovered what the ex-pro was up to. Sean Kelly is working as a Eurosport cycling commentator. Here's what Frank Hoste is doing and yes he is involved in cycling...

For the sprinting thrill of it...
