The opening presentation in Apeldoorn was a sea of pink, my favorite color in May for my favorite Grand Tour.
This may be Ryder Hesjedal's final Grand Tour, at least that's what he's hinted. He has a one year contract with Trek-Segafredo with the goal of a podium placing. Of course, if he does podium or better yet win what would be his second Giro title he can possible return for another season. Until three weeks from now, I'll be cheering on for Ryder!

My prediction: Tom Dumoulin will win stage 1 and put on the Maglia Rosa.
