Was it possible? Peter Sagan could be re-instated? Right up to the 11th hour Peter Sagan and his BORA-hansgrohe team put in an appeal and was awaiting news from the UCI. But, no such luck. The Tour has lost it's lustre by sending the massively popular world champion, Peter Sagan out the door. Will fan interest wane? Likely so, but La Grand Boucle must go on.
