Cannondale Drapac's future is on tender hooks after a key sponsor backed out. It will a shame if they go. Mike 'Rusty' Woods hasn't secure a contract for 2017 but riding amazingly well (9th) with the goal for stage wins. Davide Villella, signed for Astana in 2018, holds on to the blue spotted KoMs jersey. Riders and staff are free to pursue employment for next season including Rigoberto Uran (2nd in the Tour de France) who already signed for three years is reportedly talking to Astana. Will, by some miracle, Cannondale Drapac returns next year more sponsor bolstered remains to be resolved. The news doesn't sound promising.
Tormorrow's stage 9 will include Alto de Puig Llorenca. Not just once, this brute will be climbed twice...
