Romain Bardet on the cobbles. The real racing begins tomorrow.
It will be a Classic fight on the cobbles tomorrow as teams with GC aspirations must protect their leaders for any trouble. Trouble will be the paves and what in entails; 22kms with 15 sectors starting at 47.5kms into the stage. It won't be a full on Paris-Roubaix but damn close with horrible sectors. It will be survival.
"You can feel the stress building already. I'm not afraid of the stage, but despite being flat it's a day when there could be significant gaps."
- Romain Bardet
"I think Gilbert will be dangerous tomorrow and then you've got a splattering of other guys around him. Sagan obviously or maybe someone like Boasson Hagen. You have to look for the teams with Classics riders without a guy going for GC on the team."
- Matt Hayman
"I can't verbally explain how much I don't want to do the stage tomorrow."
- Thomas De Gendt
