Damiano Caruso sees the light.
It looked good for Damiano Caruso as he forged his way clear with under 5km to go on the shortened stage to Sarnano-Sassotetto. The advantage grew to 20 seconds for the Sicilian, with nobody willing to answer. But as he entered the final 2km the chasing pack responded and Primoz Roglic (no surprise) darted out to win his second stage and is the firm favorite for the overall.
Note: Paris-Nice Stage 6 was cancelled due to exceptionally violent winds with gusts up to 100 kph.
