Woods conquers Puy de dome

A sweet first Tour stage win.

An amazing final kilometer for Micheal Woods - 19.8 mph average on the final climb of Puy de Dome!

“When I got to 4km to go I didn’t really think of the win I was just doing a time trial to the top and then whatever did I could be proud of myself. And my hardest was enough to bring back Jorgensen. I’m still having a pinch myself moment… I’m 36 years old, I’m not getting any younger and I’ve always talked about winning a stage of the Tour de France. I’ve finally achieved it.”

-Michael Woods wins his first stage in the TdF. He is the third Canadian to win a stage joining Steve Bauer (1988) and Hugo Houle (2022).
