“This is my second victory of the season, the second of my career. The sprint was done ‘lactic’, the last turn was decisive, we had to position ourselves well, which I was able to do. The sprint was long and I made the decision to delay it as much as possible, a tactical choice which allowed me to pass Soren Kragh Andersen. Florian Dauphin also prepared the ground perfectly for me. I know tomorrow will be difficult for me given the profile of the stage but Sunday may suit me better. I thank the whole team for the superb work done for me.”
