The countdown is almost over, and the legendary Opening Weekend is upon us, kicking off with Omloop Het Nieuwsblad on Saturday, then Kuurne-Brussel-Kure on Sunday. The racing calendar may be already well underway, but for the traditionalists, this is where the cycling season really kicks into gear, as the Spring Classics begin in earnest.

The opening stage of O Gran Camino did not count for the overall classification as due to high winds, organisers neutralized the GC results and having riders complete the 14.8km course on normal road bikes.
