Paris-Roubaix Redux:

Intermarché-Wanty delivered a memorable performance at Paris-Roubaix, placing four riders in the top twenty, including two riders in the top 10 with Jonas Rutsch sixth and Laurenz Rex tenth. Biniam Girmay debut to make history for African cycling finishing 15th. It's the best result ever for a male African rider in this race, bettering Robbie Hunter's 31st in 2004.

"I'ts beautiful. I don't have any problems, so that helps me to enjoy the race a lot. No punctures, no crashes, no bad luck, so just riding my bike, enjoying every cobblestone. I have pain everywhere but it's a beautiful race. In every sector, there were a lot of fans and everybody was shouting. That gives you a lot of energy to ride the bike. I liked the Carrefour de l'Abre sector the best. It was full gas, with a lot fans.
We will see after a year how it feels. But I think I have the feeling for this race. I can't say this is a race for me, because it's completely a different race, but it's beautiful."
-Biniam Girmay
Jonas Rutsch, 6th place
