TdP stage 4: Lapeira rides on Vuelta a Burgos stage 3 Strong in Norway

Following the high-speed downhill crash on stage 3, Paul Lapeira began today's stage with multiple injuries and suffering from breathing problems because of cracked ribs. Decathlon AG2R were uncertain as how far he would be able to go. Fortunately for Lapeira, stage 4 was not as harrowing as stage 3's hilly course. The Frenchman came through the day safe and incident-free, won in bunch sprint by fellow Frenchman Paul Magnier, placing in 17th place.

"The in the end it was not so bad, for sure it was painful, especially my ribs that are, I think, cracked. Especially when I take deep breaths, it's really painful. But my legs are good, so I'm happy to be with the yellow jersey tonight, and I'll take it day by day from now on."

Vuelta a Burgos stage 3...

Leo Bisiaux (Decathlon AG2R) attacked from a group of five in the final kilometers to take victory and the race lead on stage 3 of the Vuelta a Burgos in Valpuesta.

"It's great to reward the team with this victory. There are now two stages left to take the leader's jersey all the way. Tomorrow's stage should be easier, but everything will come down to Saturday's summit finish."
-Leo Bisiaux. The is the 20-year-old Frenchman's first professional victory of 2025, and with it the purple leaders' jersey.

Arctic Race of Norway...

Corbin Strong (IPT) continued the most successful period of his career as he won the opening stage of the Arctic Race of Norway, his third victory in just 12 days, ahead of teammate Riley Sheehan. Having claimed a stage and the GC at the recent Tour de Wallonie, the Kiwi lead a IPT one-two on a wet and cold day in Harstad.

"It was really cold and wet. I started in quite a lot of clothes and as we got closer to finish, I was like 'oh, if I'm sprinting, I can't really be sprinting in leg warmers and rain jackets'. Slowly, I had to take them off, but yeah, it was just doing a long, cold day."
