Fouquenet chasing Brand
It was another fine performance for Amandine Fouquenet, but no chance of beating a superior Brand, who stays on another level this season. The Frenchwoman was a close second but she made the decision to ride for podium after catching Pieterse. With Alvarado closing behind she forced the pace to fend her off.
“It was a great battle because for me I am really happy to go on the podium again. It is a great season for me, so I wanted to prove it is possible for me to go on the podium again.”

Thibau Nys turned a pressurized race into a decisive sprint to win the World Cup Dendermonde. Nys waited until the last lap passing World Cup leader Laurens Sweeck and Tibor Del Grosso.
“It was all about getting as fresh as possible into the last laps. I tried a couple of times to put some pressure but it was so difficult to make a difference. But I felt super, super strong and I felt in control. I think it was one of the strongest days of the season for me.”
