TdF stage 17: The battle for the points classification intensifies

 

Mathieu van der Poel led his Alpencin-Premier Tech teammate Jasper Philipsen to his first stage victory of this Tour by controlling the pace and containing counterattacks through the last kilometers. Philipsen finished just ahead of Mauro Schmid and Olav Kooij. The race for the points classification intensifies - Philipsen trails Mads Pedersen by only 7 points.
