Stage five of the Vuelta a Espana was once again won by Matthew Brennan. The Briton perfectly finished off the work of Wout van Aert and Christophe Laporte for his second victory in Spain. Jordi Meeus (Red Bull Bora hansgrohe) finished second , ahead of Vincenzo Albanese (EF Education EasyPost)
