Portlandia: Militant Bike Messenger

Love this!

Maybe I've been in the dark, but I recently discovered thanks to Angus of this gem of a show called Portlandia. It's worth watching more than once, as I continue doing so, depicting Portland's unique and quirky denizens.

I visited this fun city (posted here) and grew to like the small town hippie vibe. It's good to see Powell's Books store in the opening scene. And importantly the bike culture is hugely popular. I must admit, the very believable crazy militant bike messenger reminds me of a few characters when I was a bike messenger in 1989 Vancouver. It sure makes me howl with laughter through to the last scene of his track stand!
