Lucien Blyau: A Hero with a big heart

We're all cycling fans; we love, admire and support the sport in our own way.

"I don't know who I give the drinks too. I'm too busy focusing on their hands."

Lucien Blyau was perhaps cycling's greatest fan. He passed away yesterday at the age of 91. In a way, he was more than a fan. He was a fixture at the Tour. For 41 editions, since 1975, he would drive over park his van at the side of the road, with his wife, and wait for the cyclists to pass. Providing Coke and water for the cyclists was his forte. And he did so with a big heart...

"I'm happy like this and that's what counts in life."
