World championship theme on Friday File...

Greg LeMond (2-time world champion) is back with his new bikes made by French frame builder, Time.

It's very good to see the 3-time Tour winner confidently back in the bike business. After the Trek fiasco, LeMond looks determined to make it a go introducing 3 carbon bikes named appropriately; Tour86, Tour89 & Tour90. There's quite an amazing array of choice for the consumer and LeMond is an added bonus in the bike world!

World Championship Jerseys...

High Tech...

Castelli unveiled the new Italian world championship jersey claiming to be faster 20W at 40km/h. If an Italian wins... some credit goes to Castelli.

Throwback to 1984... a simpler jersey.
via cyclingweekly

Robert Millar wearing the British jersey back in the 1984 world road race in Barcelona was fashionably simpler; cycling cap backwards, wool jersey, no branding and definitely non-aero.

Retro cool...
Arthur Vichot in the GP Quebéc.

If you have noticed, Arthur Vichot sported a traditional French national jersey in Quebéc keeping it retro. Laurent Fignon sported a similar jersey design back in 1984...

Cool...

Le Professeur in tricolor, 1984 Tour

The Team time trial will start this Sunday with Orica Greenedge bolstered with top specialists and in my opinion will win. They won with the fastest TTT in the Tour and will bring loaded deck including Sven Tuft. Omega Pharma (Tony Martin) and BMC (Taylor Phinney) look just as competitive...

Everyone knows it's a big event, it's the world's. It's a great marking tool for all of our sponsor; you can say you are the world champion.

Omega Pharma brings their A TT Team
& their mantra... #capsnothats

Tony Martin led... I'm hoping to see the Omega Pharma on the podium and wearing
their cycling caps. I'm a fervent supporter of the cycling cap and not the baseball hat on the podium, so let's ALL praise and support (#capsnothats).
