National TT champ Houle on his way to 12th overall
Canadian TT champion Hugo Houle started his three-year contract with Israel-Premier Tech with 12th place overall in Etoile de Bessèges. He finished at @1:02, 44th place from winner Filippo Ganna. Cofidis had a solid start to the new season claimed two stages via Benjamin Thomas and Bryan Coquard. Benjamin Thomas defended his overall race lead placing third ever so careful of Alberto Bettiol, who he led by only seven seconds going into Sunday's ITT.
Houle's next race is the five-stage Ruta del Sol (February 16) alongside with compatriot Michael Woods will be making his season debut.
