Finding the rhythm
After disappointing and inconsistent weeks, Thibau Nys had a welcome boost in Zonhoven finishing in second place.
"This feels good, even being second. I'm just happy that I was finally back in the race. The last weeks were not easy; a couple of times, there were bad days or bad luck with good legs. I'm glad I could finally turn it around again.
Yesterday, I struggled against myself for an hour because I couldn't find the rhythm. Today, we had a lap where I successfully converted my form into speed. Van der Poel stood out above the rest, but I could do my thing behind that. Remove Van der Poel and I would ride solo in front the whole race."

Turning it on.
"I was feeling very cold during the first two laps today, then I picked up the pace and naturally warmed up. Today is not yesterday, I vomited out everything in me twenty minutes before the race in Hulst. So, I wasn't expecting much yesterday; I knew it wouldn't amount to anything. Today, I already felt much better. It was a new day. I hoped it was a one-off yesterday and I slept well. I was also able to eat again and hoped today would be better already. It took a while to get into it, but it went well."
