Kim Le Court stuns in LBL, Healy podiums, Tour of Turkey stage 1

Kim Le Court (AG Insurance Soudal Team) claimed her biggest road win of her career so far, outsprinted Puck Pieterse, Demi Vollering and Cedrine Kerbaol to take a thrilling victory at Liege-Bastogne-Liege Femmes.

"To be honest when I bridged the gap on Roche-aux-Faucons I really felt strong compared to the others. When I bridged to them I saw they were really suffering, of course I was suffering too but for me to make that effort to bridge to them I knew I had maybe a bit more legs. Of course there was the effort to bridge to Cedrine Kerbaol first, she's such a good rider. I just kicked and never looked back in the sprint. I could see Puck's jersey but I just didn't stop."

Kim Le Court; victorious!

Ben Healy (EF Education Easypost) has been threatening a big Monument performance for a couple of years, the Irishman finally secured a first podium finish, taking 3rd behind Tadej Pogacar and Giulio Ciccone at Liege-Bastogne-Liege!

"A podium in a monument, that was always a goal and that's what I've worked so hard this winter for, and I'm ecstatic with it. We've seen so many times Tadej has this like nuclear attack on these climbs, and I just think if you follow, you just burn yourself, and our plan all along was to try to set a steady tempo as steady as you can go. People were able to jump across (at Amstel Gold Race) and that was always our plan for the beginning, but it didn't quite go out that way, and I think Tadej was just on another level today. My first Monument podium, and I'm just really happy that I could pay the team back with this."
