Mathieu van der Poel soloed the final 38km of the Hell of the North after Pogacar crash, MVDP's win makes him the first since Francesco Moser in 1980 to conquer infamous cobbled monument three times consecutively. The reigning world champion finished second in his debut Roubaix, 1'18 behind in the ancient velodrome. Mads Pedersen continued his early season excellent form, winning the sprint for third.
