Alaphilippe solos to GP de Quebec, La Vuelta stage 19


Julian Alaphilippe secures his first victory with Tudor Pro Cycling, attacking at more than 70km, wins the Grand Prix de Quebec solo. Pavel Sivakov is second and Alberto Bettiol in third place!

"I had good sensations. It was a little bit tactical, and I needed to be really focussed on getting the finale right. Lap by lap, it was getting harder and harder. I'm really happy."

A classic win for Loulou



 


Jasper Philipsen won stage 19 in a bunch sprint at Guijuelo and powered to his third stage win of the Vuelta a Espana. Jonas Vingegaard added four seconds to his advantage over Joan Almeida. Saturday's penultimate stage is a mountainous course offering the last realistic chance for Almeida to catch Vingegaard.
