TdL: Grégoire wins stage 5, Road World Championships: ITT

 


Brandon McNulty has won the 2025 Tour de Luxembourg. On the final day, Romain Grégoire took the victory ahead of fast-charging Ben Healy, after the Frenchman took the opening stage and spent two days in the yellow leader's jersey. McNulty won the GC 47 seconds ahead of second-placed Skjelmose, with Richard Carapaz rounding out the overall podium. 



Road World Championships, Kigali: 




History was made in Kigali, Remco Evenepoel won his third consecutive time trial world title, dominating the 40.6km race of truth with a time of 49:46, the only rider to break the 50-minute mark. Australia's Jay Vine finished in silver, finishing 1:14 from the Belgian while Ilan Van Wider took bronze at 2:36 seconds. 







Marlen Reusser, three-time European champion, takes the rainbow jersey in the elite women's ITT. The world title has eluded Reusser, finishing second twice, but she claimed her first title delivering a strong ride over the 31.2km course. Anna van der Breggen held on for second place, five years after taking the title herself, Demi Vollering taking the bronze medal.
