Fem van Empel rode to another dominated victory on Dutch soil, to win the Exact Cross ahead of Aniek van Alphen and Leonie Bentveld. Carving through the sand and mud before powering clear in the final lap to win.
A combination of paved sections, a few passages through sand, and more technical parts through park and grass was what the organization created.
“Don’t be mistaken: this is not sand like in Alphen or along the Scheldeprijs in Antwerp. It’s very abrasive sand where you can ride through for a maximum of about ten meters.”

Joris Nieuwenhuis won the Exact Cross nearly rode the race chasing Pim Ronhaar but overtook his fellow countryman in the final lap. Belgian Yordi Corsus rode a strong third place.
