Another star of the final Monument of the season: Lake Como
Tadej Pogacar rewrites cycling history again, being the first rider in history to win five consecutive editions of a monument in a row at Il Lombardia. He also becomes the first rider to ever finish on the podium of all monuments in the same season. Pogacar follows up his World and European Championship wins with his tenth monument victory in Italy, equalling the record number of wins for the event held by the legendary Fausto Coppi. The Slovenian finished 1-48 clear of Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step), with Australia's Michael Storer (Tudor Pro Cycling) more than three minutes back in third place.
