Twice up the Corkscrew was dominated by the UAE duo of Jay Vine and Jhonatan Narvaez that was not followed by anyone. Stage 2 to Uraidla was most likely the signature stage as UAE is heading to a certain oveall classification victory after gaining around a minute on the competition. Jay Vine did most of the in front, but he and the defending champion rode to a race-defining performance. Vine took the the stage win with Narvaez in second, the duo surgically cut 58 seconds over the chasing the group led by Mauro Schmid in third place.
