Paul Laperia (Decathlon CMA CGM) has won the Coppa Agostoni - fastest in a sprint in Lissone, Italy.
The Coppa Agostoni is part of the Trittico Lombardo series of Italian semi-classics alongside the Coppa Bernocchi (October 5) and Tre Valli Varesine (October 6). It is a 166-kilometer long race followed a traditional format that typically leads to dramatic race. Highly difficult with over 3000 meters of climbing through the northern Italian hills.
Part of the day’s breakaway of six riders, Mauro Schmid (Jayco) looked good to hold on for the win, but Laperia managed to take a second victory of his season. Newly crowned World Champion Brando McNulty snatched second with Andrea Raccagni Noviero in third.
