TdF stage 10: Healey in yellow, Martinez in polka dots!

Healey leads in the Massif Central

Ben Healy (EF Education Easypost) stormed across the Massif Central to finish third on stage 10 and into yellow!

Over the first climb of the day, the Cote de Loubeyrat, EF's group of Harry Sweeny, Alex Baudin, Neilson Powless and Ben Healy was a strong force. With seven cat climbs ahead of them on a 165.3km route, they marked moves and kept the pace high over the peloton. With their jobs done, with 26 kilometers to go, it was time for Ben Healy.

The Irishman, pulled away to the finish atop Le Mont-Dore, watched the clock and becomes the fourth Irishman to wear the Malliot Jaune.

"If someone had told me I'd me in yellow and have won a stage by the first rest day as well, I'd have said, 'I don't believe you.' If it wasn't for those guys, I wouldn't be in yellow today. I've got to say a massive, massive thank you to those guys, they could have fought for the stage themselves on another day so just a massive thanks to them."

-Ben Healey. It was 38 years ago since Stephen Roche lead the Tour de France in 1987. Sean Kelly (1983) and Shay Elliott (1963) are the only other Irish riders to ever lead the race.
